Well, we are another week closer to the start of school.  Teacher Appreciation days at Office Depot and Staples are coming.  Also, some changes are coming to Adam’s School Deals in the future.  Unless I get any emails from people who only use the blog, I am going to shut it down and only use Facebook.  I can keep the blog up if someone uses it but I see a lot of the same names on Facebook.  Anyways, here are the deals:

Deals for the last week of July and start of August

Wow, I am slacking this week!  While painting last night I was trying to figure out why and I think it is all Staples fault.  Without the simplicity of their deals anymore, I am not as motivated.  They still have some great deals but having to get all the money back later can be a hassle.  Anyways, here are this week’s deals.

Deals for the week of July 22nd

With the Staples deals being a hassle this year, I will be adding some deals that I might not have before.  They are deals that aren’t as good as $0.01 but a lot less of a pain.  For those who missed, for teachers to get 25 of the $0.01 items you will need to pay full price of 23 of the items and then you will get the difference back in Staples Rewards.

This week’s savings secret:  For rebates use your parents and in-laws if they don’t use the Staples deals.  We purchase multiple items that have rebates and have money rebates mailed our house, my parent’s house, and Mallory’s parent’s house.  You do need their help because you will have to use their names on the rebates and they will have to cash it for you, but if they help you can save TONS!!

Walgreens

Update on Staple's Teacher Deals

So, I went to Staples yesterday and learned about the teacher discount.  Teachers can still get 25 of the $0.01 deals but the money that teachers get is given back in rewards.  So, if the item is regularly priced $1.49, you will get $1.48 in rewards certificates. 

Rewards Certificates will not be issued until September, are good for 90ish days (the manager in Gainesville said that she accepts them after that point), and can only be used in Staples.

So, the deals aren't as good as they used to be but if you can find something you want at Staple in Sept., you are in luck.  If you only buy the summer deals not so much.

Sorry for the delay in the message.  I was told today that Staples is doing something different this year where teachers won’t get the 25 $0.01 items automatically.  You have to do some sort of rebate thing.  I will update when I go and learn more.  (Thanks for the info Melissa!)  The deals should get better as the summer goes on.  Here is what I found for this week.
